Terms of service
Last updated 17 October 2026
These terms cover your use of Muesli on iPhone, Mac, the web and through MCP. By creating an account you agree to them. They are short on purpose; if something is unclear, email us.
Your account
You need to be 16 or older and to sign in with Apple, Google or a sign-in link sent to your email. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Muesli is a single-user product; one person per account.
The subscription
Muesli is one paid plan with everything included: $15 a month or $144 a year (£12 or €15 a month, £115 or €144 a year, tax included in the UK and EU). Prices on the App Store may differ slightly because of Apple's price tiers. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
Free trial
New accounts get 14 days free. On the web and Mac you add a card when you start and nothing is charged until the trial ends. On iPhone the trial is an App Store introductory offer and Apple's terms apply to it. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. One trial per person.
Cancelling and refunds
Cancel any time: from your account at app.muesli.ing/account for web and Mac subscriptions, or from the App Store subscription sheet for iPhone. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
Refunds are handled by the store you bought through. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple under its policies. Web and Mac purchases are processed by Stripe as merchant of record; email us and we will refund the current period if something went wrong. Consumers in the UK and EU keep their statutory rights.
Your content
Your recordings, notes and everything Muesli makes from them belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy. You can export or delete them at any time.
Acceptable use
- Record only where you have the right to. In shared spaces, make sure other people know a session is running.
- Add only sources you may lawfully read. Muesli fetches articles and papers on your behalf; respect publishers' terms.
- Do not resell the service, share an account, scrape it, probe it for weaknesses or use it to build a competing dataset.
- Do not use the AI features to generate content that is illegal or harmful to others.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why.
AI output
Enhanced notes, insights, answers and actions are produced by AI models and can be wrong. Your own words are always shown separately from Muesli's. Check anything you rely on, especially answers researched on the web.
No warranty
Muesli is provided as is. We work hard to keep it running, accurate and safe, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose, and we do not promise any particular transcription or AI quality. To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes and ending the service
We may change these terms; if the change matters we will email you first. If we ever shut Muesli down we will give at least 60 days' notice and keep export working until the end.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes go to its courts, unless you live somewhere whose consumer law says otherwise.
